JUNIOR CURLING
The Canmore Golf & Curling Club is happy to announce junior curling is starting up again!
THE GOAL
The goal is to learn something new and have FUN! We have experienced curlers and coaches who bring their knowledge to the ice in a safe, fun, and social environment. Bring your friends!
As curlers progress, they will have the option of joining the advanced junior curlers and competing in bonspiels and zone/provincial qualifiers.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Open to youth aged 8 and up.

WHEN IS IT HapPENING?
(Oct 19th until spring 2023)
WEDNESDAYS: 3:45pm - 5:00pm
- Junior program with coaches
- All levels of curlers: beginner to advanced are welcome!
- Progress by learning the basics and then move on to new levels!
- Play curling games and learn curling strategy
(Nov 4 until spring 2023)
FRIDAYS: 3:45pm - 5:00pm
Junior League Play!
- Show up when you can!
- Teams will be made at 4pm each Friday
- Games will be started as soon as the teams are formed
- Coaches will be available for assistance
- * Please note, there will be no Friday junior league on weekends with bonspiels taking place.
MEMBERSHIP AND FEES
2022-2023 Program Fee —October - December OR January - March (partial season)
2022-2023 Program Fee — October - March (full season)
Membership Fees include:
- All curling equipment
- Coaching
- Wednesday and/or Friday curling
If you cannot pay the membership fee, please contact the office; scholarships are available.
WHAT TO BRING/WEAR
- Warm, comfortable layered clothing is preferred
- Clean indoor running shoes
- Mitts, a toque, and a sense of adventure!
- Helmets optional
The curling club has brooms, sliders, and stabilizers available to use.
If you have your own equipment, you may bring it and use it.
COMMITMENT
We want the kids to commit to having a good time, learning how to curl, and being safe.
If other sports interfere, no problem, they should come when they can.
PARENTS
Parents are welcome to watch anytime.
The restaurant and bar are open, so feel free to grab a drink and food.
Families are also welcome to eat at the club after class.
WAIVER
Parents must complete the online waiver before their child is allowed on the ice.
